This free invoice template has the same layout as the default invoice template provided by Excel Invoice Manager. In fact, you can create this free Excel invoice template by removing all the controls from the invoice form of the default template.

Note that, the buttons on the invoice templates will not work unless Excel Invoice Manager is installed.

It is easy to customize the Excel-based invoice template. You can use all the tools provided by Microsoft Excel, as well as those third party tools that work with Excel, such as a PDF creator (PDF printer).

As an Excel workbook, all Microsoft Excel features are available to you, from simple formatting, such as replacing default fonts and colors, to more advanced moving and merging cells. For example, if you want to change the number format, text alignment, style, font, border and pattern of a certain cell, just right click the cell and choose Format Cells from the menu. Things to do before using

For new users of the template, before creating invoices, here are some important options you should check.

Note: By default, the main worksheet is protected to avoid overwriting formulas accidentally. To unprotect it, click Excel menu Tools -> Protection -> Unprotect Sheet.

Company information
Enter your company information in the worksheet, such as your company name, address, and contact information.

Logo image
There is a logo image on the main worksheet where you can place your company logo. Please replace the default image with your own image.

After customizing the worksheet, please protect it again to avoid overwriting formulas accidentally.

The detailed steps for customizing the LOGO image are:
  1. Click the Design Mode button on the Control Toolbox toolbar. (If the Control Toolbox toolbar is not displayed, click Excel menu View -> Toolbars -> Control Toolbox).
  2. Right click the Logo image, and select Properties.
  3. Click the Picture property, and then click the ... button.
  4. Browse to the folder containing your icon file. Select and open the icon file.
  5. Close the Properties window.
  6. Click the Design Mode button again to exit design mode.

If you don't want to include the logo image in your invoices, just delete the image.
